Mike Watson is a talented blues musician who has dedicated countless hours to perfecting his craft.  He has spent years researching the history of the blues and incorporating that knowledge into his performances.  His passion for the genre is evident in every note he plays, and he has become a respected figure in the blues community.  Mike's dedication to his art has earned him a loyal following and the admiration of fellow musicians.  His soulful playing and powerful vocals are a testament to his talent and hard work.

Abbie Thurgood is a talented singer/songwriter hailing from Calgary, AB.  Known for her soulful blues, Abbie has garnered high praise and respect within her music community. With a voice that can move mountains and lyrics that touch the soul, Abbie's music is truly a treasure to behold.  Her passion for music is evident in every note she sings and every word she writes.  In addition to her solo work, Abbie is also the lead vocalist for Gone Cosmic, a psychedelic heavy rock project that has been making waves in the industry. With her unique style and undeniable talent, Abbie Thurgood is a force to be reckoned with and a true gem in the music community.

Melt-your-heart alert! Adoptable dogs from our partnering rescue groups will be hitting the runway, hopeful to capture some hearts and find their forever homes. Only a select few will be showcased in “Pawdoptables” so be sure to visit them and their many friends in the rescue area throughout the day.

Does your dog have what it takes to be a Pawlooza model? Pawlooza’s panel of judges are looking for the cutest of the cutest… and ones that don’t mind getting in front of a camera and dressing up! Entry fee is $10 and gives you and your dog a chance to walk down the “dogwalk” on the main stage and strut their stuff!  Accessories will be available to add a little zing or sparkle to your model.

The first place winner collects $200 in prizes donated by Ren's Pets, including a professional photo shoot by Sherry Lemcke Photography, and  most importantly – they’ll be one of the faces that you’ll see on the Pawlooza 2025 marketing campaigns!  

Let the competition begin and let's find the top diggity dog! The maximum entry is 50 contestants so register early on the day of the festival at the Pawlooza Stage!

Would you know what to do with your pet in an emergency?  Be sure to catch the Golden Opportunity Assistance Dogs demo on the Pawlooza Stage at 12pm to learn how to prevent accidents, illness, and injury, as well as apply first aid and CPR!  Donna Frezell from Golden Opportunity Assistance Dogs will provide useful techniques and tips and their booth can also be visited throughout the day to ask any questions!

Does your dog LOVE to dress up or have a grrrreat sense of pawsh fashion? Or do they simply look pawsitively adorable in a costume?  Pawlooza is excited to announce the "Best Dressed Contest" on the Pawlooza Stage.  Pawticipants will be strutting their stuff down the "dogwalk" and definitely making a fashion statement!  Entry is free and the winner will receive a gift basket totalling $200 in prizes. Of course a "doggy dressing room" will be available on site to get your pooch comfortably prepped and ready in their costume before making their debut.   Entries are limited so pawticipants can pre-register by emailing pawloozasbestdressed@gmail.com or register at the Pawlooza Stage the day of the contest.  Best of luck to all the contestants and let the costume pawty begin!!!

Fun and games for dogs of all skill levels to participate as a team with their human, run by Melissa Millett’s In Dogs We Trust staff! Geared towards FUN as opposed to obedience, even children can take part with the family pet.

Complete with an opening ceremony and medals ceremony. Spectators can enjoy watching or taking part in the events to win prizes or just have some good old fun!

Did you know your dog can COUNT?  Join Element Canine for this interactive demonstration and learn how to use pattern games to increase your level of training for recall, loose leash walking and focus behaviours.
